Branched Alkylbenzene (BAB) is produced through alkylation of benzene by propylene tetramer. BAB is used in surfactant industry, plasticizer, solvent and based stock for metal working fluids like cutting oil, metal lamination, chemical intermediate synthesis, chemical additives.
Main ingredient for Branched alkyl benzene sulfonic acid (BABSA) or called DBSA (Dodecyl Benzene Sulfonic Acid), an anionic surfactant which serves as the principal raw material for industrial detergents and emulsifiers. Also used for secondary plasticizer for PVC, emulsifier for pesticides.
